HSCF facilitates SIGs arranged around the following areas to ensure representation and influence on key health and social care issues for Hackney residents, including: learning disability; mental health; disabled people; sexual health; user-led initiatives and welfare reform in partnership Job Centre Plus and Hackney Advice Forum.
LGBTQI+ SIG
The LGBTQI+ meeting offers a forum in Hackney and City of London for anyone who has an interest in the LGBTQI+ service provision.
Learning Disabilities SIG
The Learning Disabilities SIG provides a forum in Hackney and City for anyone who has an interest in the provision of services for people with Learning Difficulties. The group is a sub-group of the City and Hackney Health and Social Care Forum.
Mental Health SIG
The Mental Health Special Interest Group (The Group) exists to provide a forum in Hackney and City for anyone who has an interest in the provision of mental health services.
Sexual Health SIG
Our Sexual Health SIG is for any members working in organisation in relation to sexual health. The idea of us coming together is to see if we are duplicating work in any way or if there are ways in which we can work in partnership with each other.
Hackney Advice Forum – Network
The Hackney Advice Forum aims to help independent advice agencies in the borough improve the quality, level and co-ordination of their services and activities by providing a network and mechanism for advice agencies and those involved in advice work, to share and learn and develop effective ways of working together; helping the sector to obtain the resources it needs (money, training, information, etc.) to get the best possible outcomes for users and communities; and providing a voice for the independent advice sector locally.
