Walking tour highlights inspiring community projects

On 30 July 2026, we held a walking tour, highlighting inspiring community projects.

The tour took in three community projects in Hackney to highlight some of the great work taking place in local voluntary and community sector organisations.

In addition to staff and trustees from Hackney CVS, we were joined by:

  • High Sheriff of Greater London – Dhruv Patel.
  • Deputy Lieutenant – Professor Linda Drew.
  • Madam Speaker of Hackney – Councillor Antoinette Fernandez.

Our starting point was the ‘Warm Shores’ statues, outside Hackney Town Hall, for a welcome and introductions.

Our tour took in three community projects:

  • Hackney Quest.
  • CoHub Hackney
  • HOPE at Morningside.

Hackney Quest

Hackney Quest run a series of programmes and activities to support, develop and empower young people, families and the community in Hackney.

CoHub Hackney

CoHub is a community-powered space in Hackney, running a Community Closet and providing advice, training, and volunteering opportunities for residents.

HOPE at Morningside

HOPE at Morningside is a youth club, community lunch and various other activities at the Morningside Community Centre.

We aim to hold another tour of community projects later in the year. If you’re interested in participating as a host organisation to visit, please email us.
