How to write better funding Bids

Safeguarding adults from harm and abuse

Safeguarding is the responsibility of us all. This training will allow delegates to become aware of the 6 principles of Safeguarding from The Care Act 2014 and other changes that are relevant to their role. You will also be able to explore how some adults become at risk of abuse and the role you can play in preventing people being abused at work and as members of their local communities.

Fire Marshal Training

This half-day course is delivered by professional firefighters and is for anyone wishing to obtain the skills, knowledge and confidence to monitor and control fire safety in any workplace environment.

Participants will learn basic fire safety procedures in the workplace and how to ensure their organisation is compliant with the law.

Design publicity using Canva and other free digital tools

Canva is a free online tool that you can use for all of your designs, such as posters, flyers, social media posts, presentations and more.

This practical hands-on course is for anyone working in a voluntary or community organisation that is responsible for designing and communicating publicity for your charity.

Safeguarding Children: A shared responsibility

This course will allow participants to develop awareness of, and the ability to act on, concerns about the safety and welfare of children and young people in line with “What to do if you’re worried a child is being abused” and the London Children Protection Procedures. Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. Attend this session to ensure you meet safeguarding compliance requirements.

Funding Surgeries – 2020

National Lottery Community Fund will be holding monthly funding surgery’s for those looking to apply for a Reaching Communities grant. Sessions will last up to 45 minutes and will provide an opportunity to meet someone from National Lottery Community Fund in person to discuss your idea.
