Our recent Health and Social Care Forum meeting which was held on Tuesday 19 July 2022, gave an update on our local health and social care changes in City and Hackney that are happening and how the Voluntary Community Sector (VCS) are kept informed of the changes.

We discussed in breakout rooms how we want to work together as part of the North East London Integrated Care System.

Hackney CVS is leading City and Hackney contribution to North East London integrated care system (NEL ICS), working with VCS from across the diverse 8 boroughs/areas. One of the proposed key ways of being involved is attending SIGs and Networks meeting we coordinate.

The SIG (Special Interest Group) meetings and forum meetings we at HSCF coordinate are:
– Mental Health SIG
– Learning Disabilities SIG
– Sexual Health SIG
– LGBTQI+ SIG
– Older Peoples SIG
– Hackney Advice Forum Meeting
– Health and Social Care Forum Meeting

Next Steps
We are setting up a taskforce group for the Health and Social Care Forum locally to develop practically how the VCS works in the new health system. If anyone would like to volunteer, please email jessica@hcvs.org.uk.

We will feedback from the taskforce group at the next HSCF Forum meeting which is due to be held in September (date to be confirmed).
