#ForgottenFigures is Black SuperSheroes second major exhibition for Black History Month celebrating historical Black women in Britain from 1300 – Present. This art exhibition is the first of its kind that will focus solely on Black women who are often overlooked in the national curriculum in schools. Our purpose is to make Black History studies more decorated, contemporary and engaging for KS2/3 in education.
Celebrated women will feature the Navy’s first black female sailor ‘William Brown’ to current sheroes such as boxer Nicola Adams (though she isn’t forgotten) where they will be transformed into supershero characters because they were game changers and broke down barriers.
Though this exhibition is primarily focused for schools, families, and individuals are very welcome to come along.
