This year’s report explores access to healthy, affordable food in City and Hackney, focusing on the essential work taking place in our communities.

A lively panel discussion took place at the event, featuring community representatives from Woodberry Aid Community Food Shop, CoCreate Hackney and Hackney School of Food.

The panel also included Rachel King, Hackney Food Network Coordinator at Hackney CVS, who spoke about the vital community food groups across the borough and their need for more support.

Rachel said: “It was so enriching to hear their perspectives first hand about the work they do and the differences they are making.”

Rachel added: “We are incredibly lucky to have such dedicated people in Hackney working so hard to bring change and support to our communities and to have residents at the centre of what they do.”
