Bejal Shah confirmed as permanent Chief Executive of Hackney CVS

The Trustee board of Hackney CVS has announced that they have confirmed Bejal Shah (pictured) as permanent Chief Executive with immediate effect.

Hackney CVS’s co-chairs, Katie Aston and Jessica Stockford, said: “Bejal has acted as interim CEO since January 2025 and has demonstrated committed, values-led and strong leadership over the past six months alongside building successful relationships with staff, Hackney CVS members, board, funders and stakeholders alike.”

“Bejal is currently delivering our 2025/26 business plan as well as leading a co-produced change programme which will form our strategy for the future – ensuring we are able to focus on providing vital infrastructure support for community and grassroots groups in Hackney and The City.”

Bejal Shah said: “I’m incredibly proud to be continuing this journey as Chief Executive of Hackney CVS. Over the past six months, I’ve had the privilege of listening to and working alongside so many passionate, committed people across the sector.
