Recruitment opportunity: Youth Leaders

Youth Leaders

  • Are you a young person, aged 18-25, living in Hackney, and wanting to make a difference to how services are designed so that they work better for young people?

  • Do you enjoy collaborating, working in a small team, and thinking creatively about how to tackle issues affecting young people living in Hackney?

  • Do you want the opportunity to gain work experience, and develop new skills in an organisation based in the heart of the community?

If you’ve answered yes to the above, or are simply curious, then read on.

The role: Hackney CVS exists to tackle inequalities faced by local communities living in City and Hackney, and to create a fairer society. We mostly do this by supporting voluntary and community organisations, but we also do this by working directly with local communities.

We know that to tackle inequalities for young people, we need to work with young people. As a Youth Leader, you will use your lived experience and skills to give a voice to the issues that affect young people. You will help shape how local services are designed so that they work for young people, and create opportunities for young people to thrive.

This is an exciting time to join, as we are looking for Youth Leaders to join a Think Tank, to work with the London School of Architecture on a project exploring spacial justice, using design to explore solutions to problems young people experience around local spaces, or lack of, in Hackney.

Once you join as a Youth Leader, there will be further opportunities for you to work on other issues, all the while developing new skills and gaining valuable experience.

If this sounds like an opportunity for you, then we would love to hear from you.

We are recruiting four Youth Leaders.
