VCS Enabler Programme Manager

Vacancy

VCS Enabler Programme Manager

  • Do you want to help reduce health inequalities?

  • Do you want to work with community groups to design solutions to local problems?

  • Do you have experience with health systems’ governance?

  • Do you want to improve integration and build partnerships between the voluntary and community sector and the health system?

The VCS Enabler Programme supports voluntary and community organisations, statutory and health partners to collaborate in addressing health inequalities faced by City and Hackney residents.

Together we co-produce solutions to health and care issues by sharing insight, skills and resources. We do this by convening local health and wellbeing strategic groups and developing new ways of working.

We provide capacity building, training, and support to community organisations and charities to enable them to lead and actively participate in Integrated Care System meetings. This centres community voice and improves service outcomes for those most in need.

The Programme Manager role will manage two coordinators delivering regular group meetings and work closely with the team Director to deliver other aspects of the VCS Enabler programme, including leading on programme development.

The role will also lead on the implementation of the updated VCS Enabler structures, and manage the delivery of the VCS Leadership Group, where chairs of network meetings and VCS Leads come together to create solutions to local issues and to inform local strategies.

You will have responsibility for running the VCS Assembly meetings and monitoring and evaluation in the team alongside the team Director.

Recent projects include:

  • Building a 13 strong consortium of VCS organisations focusing on reducing school exclusions, a massive issue in the local area, by providing advocacy, research and campaigning.
  • Developing four anti-racist commissioning principles and delivering a pilot to test them with a funding pot of £54,000 in partnership with Population Health Hub NHS.
  • Delivering 5 Strategic Group meetings per quarter discussing local issues – including the Health and Social Care Forum – giving every child the best start in life, mental health, long term conditions.
  • Running a quarterly coffee morning welcoming statutory partners and VCS organisations to connect and create collaborative opportunities.
  • Working with a VCS Leadership Group Strategy and developing governance mechanisms for its delivery.

Application deadline: 15 March 11.59 pm.
