Eliminating Violence Against Women and Girls campaign

As part of the UN’s worldwide campaign, ‘16 days of activism to end gender-based violence’, Hackney council is holding events, sharing information and providing training to council staff and partner agencies to help end violence against women and girls in the borough. This initiative, and women’s safety activities, has been supported by Hackney’s Safer Neighbourhood Board.

Training for agencies
Click here to download training and activities during the campaign period. The document sets out the training and events being provided by the council during the 16 Days period and provides links to registering for these. Some activities are restricted to particular agencies but most activities are for anyone working in the Hackney.

Campaign materials to download
The council has launched a new set of posters which you will see on display around the borough in the coming weeks. These emphasise the twin-track approach the council takes of supporting women and girls and focusing on male behaviour as the key to increasing safety.

You can download these posters to display in your workspaces or order printed leaflets by emailing press@hackney.gov.uk.
