Hackney CVS is an umbrella organisation for the voluntary and community sector in Hackney.  We provide capacity building services, training, grants, representation, advocacy, information, engagement and other services to Hackney’s voluntary and community sector and those individuals or organisations connected to the sector. It is an independent registered charity 1069736.

Hackney CVS recognises the concern of its site users (‘you’), members and customers regarding privacy of information and the Data Protection Act. All information given to Hackney CVS is stored securely, and is not accessible to other users of this website. These data protection and privacy rules apply to the information you provide us.

What information do we collect about you?

We hold data on organisations who we work with and attend our training and events, conferences, and meetings.  This data is limited to contact details, organisations’ purposes, services and target services users, delivery areas, and general information about their available resources. Contact details may include address, telephone number, website and email addresses which was provided to us by the organisation.

How will we use the information about you?

To provide you with the highest possible level of service and to help you get the best out of this website.

  • For the effective administration of this site and to record user patterns.
  • To send you details on Hackney CVS, events and services likely to be of interest.
  • To respond to your comments or specific requests.

Project:

We may share information on your organisation with our funders who fund the work we undertake for a particular project.  Consent forms will be supplied where more specific data is required

Communications:

We send out regular electronic communications. This information will not be shared. There is the option to unsubscribe at any time.

Hackney CVS does not knowingly collect for company use any personal information of children under 12 without the consent of their parent or carer.
