Last week, staff at Hackney Giving led a walking tour of four community projects in Hackney. Participants on the tour included colleagues, trustees and partners from local businesses.

Four inspiring projects 
The tour visited four community organisations in Hackney:

• Round Chapel Old School Rooms served a delicious meal at their all-ages lunch.

• Hackney Night Shelter described how they support local homeless people.

• Hackney Quest highlighted their work with young people, families and older people.

• Children’s SCRAP Project shared how they save craft materials from landfill and supply these to projects working with children.

Sarah Watson, Hackney Giving’s Programme Manager, said: “It’s always good to see for ourselves what the groups we support are doing for people, and to share their work with colleagues from other sectors.”

Sarah added: “An inspiring afternoon! Thanks so much to our hosts and our guests.”
