A festive message from Hackney CVS

Dear colleagues

As we come to the end of what has been an incredibly challenging year for the voluntary and community sector (VCS), we want to take a moment to recognise the resilience, compassion and sheer determination shown by organisations across Hackney and the City. Funding uncertainty, rising demand, and the emotional weight of supporting communities through difficult times has meant unprecedented pressures, but our sector continues to show up, innovate and stand alongside those we serve.

This year has also been one of significant reflection and change for Hackney CVS. We’ve listened deeply to the sector, begun reshaping our organisation, and laid the foundations for a clearer, more focused offer. There is a lot of work to do, and we are committed to building something stronger with the VCS – something that genuinely meets the needs you’ve shared with us.

In the new year, we’ll be sharing our refreshed strategy, launching new approaches to networking and support, and working hard to bring in the funding and build the partnerships needed to strengthen the sector for the long term.

Until then, we wish you rest and joy, and look forward to continuing this work together in 2026.
