The Hackney and City VCS Neighbourhoods programme is about building local forums where our organisations can come together on an equal footing with residents, our local authorities and primary care professionals to share insights, agree health and care priorities, learning about changes in and improve local services and work collaboratively to reduce local health inequalities. The forums will also be a hub where organisations can access funding and training.
This year has seen a lot of change in the programme. The Neighbourhood Conversations that had taken place across Hackney and City through the pandemic came to an end. Over the Summer, resources were devolved to four newly appointed Forum Facilitators, seconded in from local VCS organisations, to build and/or further develop fully fledged pairs of forums in all Neighbourhoods along Well Street Common Neighbourhood lines.
Hackney CVS has started working on a business case for recurrent funding of the programme. If you are a voluntary or community sector organisation in Hackney and City who is either already involved in the Neighbourhoods programme but feels it could be improved or would like to get involved but are confused by the present arrangements – or would just like to know more, we would love to speak to you.
