Are you an organisation delivering services that support health, care or wellbeing in City and Hackney? Join us for a coffee and networking morning 9:30-11:30am on Wednesday 29th November!
For the first half an hour, you’ll get chance to network over refreshments, pastries and fruit.
We’ll then be joined by Judy Harris Strategic Delivery Officer – Ageing Well and Dementia-friendly at Hackney Council, to think about how we can support older people to get out and about – exploring evidence, ideas and funding.
This session will benefit:
- Staff from local organisations working with older people (managers and frontline)
- Older residents
- Staff from public sector services working with older people.
Services are stretched in what they can offer older people who need physical or emotional support to leave home. Are you interested in working with the council and other local organisations to make a plan to bring in funding to support Hackney’s older population to get out and about?
At this coffee morning London Borough of Hackney and Hackney CVS will share:
- Evidence and data on older people in Hackney
A business case for the need for more support for older people to get out and about
Ideas from other areas
Funding opportunities
You will get local data you can use in funding bids, meet potential partners, hear about relevant funding opportunities and learn about what is currently on offer and what is missing for older people who need support to leave home.
