Hackney Giving supports the borough’s smaller charities to work at a grassroots level with residents and communities. Since the Hackney Giving launch in 2014 we have helped to raise over £300k for local groups thanks to the support of corporate backers and local fundraisers.
We have supported a wide range of projects including advocacy training for disabled people, information and support for refugees, a music project for young people with autism, and a therapeutic gardening project for people living long-term with HIV.
Our live crowdfunder at Capco with The Funding Network on 22 June 2017 raised over £9.5k for grassroots local charities. Watch the film below to see how it works.
