Project management

Sign up to a masterclass at Hackney CVS

Charities and voluntary organisations cover a range of needs and causes, including social and community, environmental and health, ethnic and heritage. In order to meet these needs they are required to deliver a wide range of programmes and projects.

Good project management means delivering on time and within budget.

Our Project Management masterclass will introduce you to the principles and concepts of project management, and will provide you with the tools and templates to put these ideas into action at your organisation.

The masterclass will be led by Mohammed Mansour, VCSE Development Manager at Hackney CVS.

Mohammed comments: “Only 16% of projects are completed on time and within budget. This one day course is designed to equip you with the knowledge and techniques to improve the efficiency and success rate of the projects you manage, as well as help you plan your projects from the start.”

Come to this training to explore why project management is an essential skill and how to develop effective practices and manage change.

By the end of the day you will be able to:

  • Clarify the scope of your projects;
  • Strengthen project planning to reduce firefighting and manage time effectively;
  • Maximise a project’s impact through increased clarity on KPIs, outcomes and impact;
  • Integrate learning from successes and failures into current and future projects;
  • Apply techniques for managing change and its implications on project delivery;
  • Apply practices for good project governance to enhance the impact of the project;
  • Identify further resources for project delivery and ongoing professional development.
