Nominations open for the Adiaha Antigha Community Achievement Awards

Do you know an individual or organisation in Hackney that deserves recognition? Then nominate them for an Adiaha Antigha Community Achievement Award.

The Adiaha Antigha Community Achievement Awards are held each year to celebrate the work and impact of Hackney’s voluntary and community sector (VCS).

The awards are held in memory of Adiaha Antigha, the founder and former director of Hackney CVS, who made a huge contribution to the organisation’s success and to the sector as a whole.

To nominate an individual or an organisation for an award please complete the online nomination form.

Deadline for nominations: Wednesday 15 June.

Details of the individuals or organisations nominated will then be published and open to a vote by the VCS in Hackney.

The categories of the Adiaha Antigha Awards 2022 are for the individual or organisation:

  • that has delivered outstanding long-term service to the community
  • that has done the most effective campaigning work to tackle inequality and injustice
  • that has supported communities through the Covid pandemic
  • that has done the most to support wellbeing.

Winners will be presented with a certificate and an engraved glass award at the community awards evening in July.
