Henry Smith Charity – Holiday Grants for Children
Value: £2,500

London Legal Support Trust – Small Grants
Value: £5,000
Grants for voluntary sector legal agencies that provide free legal advice (including pro bono). Deadline: 6 October. Read more


The Bright Ideas Fund supports new community business ideas through the start-up and planning stages with tailored business support, to the implementation stage with grants of up to £15,000. Deadline: 30 September. Read more

The Hackney Youth Sports Fund is awarded to 9- 23 years olds to aid their progression and support their sporting potential. Open to those who live or go to school in Hackney. Funding can be requested for equipment, travel, accommodation, competition fees, specialist coaching/support fees and other similar expenditure. Deadline: 30 September. Read more

Winston Churchill Memorial Trust – Churchill Fellowships
Travel funding between four and eight weeks, with the aim of gaining knowledge and experience that will bring real benefit to others in their community, profession and in the UK as a whole. Deadline: 17 September. Read more


Hackney Council Main Grants
Voluntary and community sector organisations are once again being invited to apply for one or two year main grant funding for grants that will run from April 2020 until March 2021 or 2022.

Applications can be made for grants between £5,000 – £30,000 for a 1 year grant or up to £60,000 for a 2 year grant. Deadline: 16 September. Read more

UnLtd are looking for social entrepreneurs who have ideas and drive to make a positive difference in Hackney, Barking and Dagenham. They are offering Do It Awards (up to £5000 funding + a years support) to help the social entrepreneur to get their idea going. Deadline: 1 August. Read more


Shoreditch and Hoxton Art Fund
Hackney Council has set up a £300,000 fund to commission community arts projects that bring residents, businesses, and visitors to Shoreditch and Hoxton together. To find out more information come along to a breakfast briefing event on Thursday 27 June at the Shoreditch Platform Venue between 10am-12pm. Good Things Foundation is managing the Power Up Fund with the financial support of J.P.Morgan. Funding of between £50-000 – £150,000 is available to help you to give people a digital lift – for their business, their finances, their skills or their career. Deadline: 31 July. Read more

The CAF Tourle Foundation Fund seeks to award grants to local charities delivering services for local people in all parts of the UK. Organisations must be able to evidence that the project will be delivered to local people, whilst demonstrating the need and difference it will make. Youth Endowment Fund
Funding to support interventions targeting children aged 10-14 who are at risk of being drawn into crime and violence, and to build up knowledge of what works to prevent this happening. Deadline: 23 July. Read more

London City Airport has launched a new£75,000Community Fund to support local charities and organisations that represent inclusive and diverse communities across East London. Grants ranging from £300 to £3,000 are available for charities and not-for-profit organisations. Applications are considered four times a year. Mayor of London – Young Londoners Funds
Value: small £10-30k; medium £30-50k; large £20-500k
Grants for legally constituted organisations that support young people at risk of exclusion or involvement in criminal activity to help them make positive choices. Deadline: 12 July. Read more

Strategic Legal Fund for Vulnerable Young Migrants
Value: £30,000
Grants to provide specialist level legal advice to vulnerable young migrants. Deadline: 5 July. Read more

Improving the health of rough sleepers
The Health and Social Care Secretary has announced that £1.9 million will be given to councils by Public Health England to help improve the health of rough sleepers. The funding will be awarded to projects that improve access to health services and continuity of care for people with mental ill-health and substance misuse problems who are sleeping rough, or at risk of returning to rough sleeping. Comic Relief – Tech vs Abuse
Value: up to £50,000
Grants to not-for-profit organisations for proposals to define, develop and test digital tools and approaches that will make an immediate difference to those affected by abuse in the UK. Deadline: 4 July. Read more

London Community Foundation – SEGRO Community Fund
Value: £10,000
Grants for projects working with adults and young people under the theme of employability and youth social action. Deadline: 1 July. Read more

The Span Trust
Value: up to £20,000
Grants available to London-based charities for projects that alleviate poverty, disability, age or ill health, and advance urban regeneration through the improvement of the built environment. Deadline: 1 July. Read more


Windrush Justice Fund
Grants for community groups and small civil society organisations to support ongoing or planned outreach and advice work intended to help people affected by the Windrush crisis to resolve their immigration status, rebuild their lives and access hardship or compensation funds. Greener City Fund Community Tree Planting Grants
The Mayor of London is awarding grants of £5,000 – £50,000 for local communities to plant more trees in London. Grants will support tree planting in areas where there is currently little tree cover or where trees can help address issues like air pollution. Deadline: 24 June. Read more

European Youth Foundation
Grants for European youth activities which serve the promotion of peace, understanding and co-operation in a spirit of respect for the Council of Europe’s fundamental values such as human rights, democracy, tolerance and solidarity. Deadline: 23 June. Read more


LGBT+ Futures Fund
Consortium is distributing the second round of their LGBT+ Futures Fund small grants programme to support LGBT+ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans+) voluntary and community organisations across England. Deadline: 31 May. Read more

Inspire Fund
This new public engagement funding scheme is part of Alzheimer’s Research UK’s work to tackle misconceptions around dementia.

Thomas Wall Trust
