DESCRIPTION:The Adiaha Antigha Community Achievement Awards are held to celebrate the work and impact of Hackney’s voluntary and community sector. The awards are held in memory of Adiaha Antigha\, the Founder and former Director of Hackney CVS\, who made a huge contribution to the organisation’s success and to the sector as a whole. The Gary Francis Achievement Awards are held to recognise local young people who achieve against the odds. Gary Francis was Hackney CVS’ Youth Programmes Manager and a key figure in the local community. His knowledge and expertise helped to shape the Borough’s approach to tackling youth crime.
