DESCRIPTION:Children and Family Sector Meeting- It’s time to Refresh Forum | Hackney CVS\nThe Children and Young peoples Provider Forum brings together charitable organisations that support local children and families. \nOver the last year the children sector has been working on new health priorities as part of the nation wide health transformation agenda. There are two parts to this meeting to attend. \nPart A (10:15-11:30) provides space for the VCS Children’s Sector  to meet the new VCS representatives that attend Children\, Young People and Maternity services work stream and to shape the future plans for the CYPPF. \nPart B (11:30-13:00) meet the strategic lead Amy Wilkinson\, Work stream Director for CYPM to connect\, contribute and influencing what the future priorities are. Immunisation\, mental health and healthier lifestyle.  In addition learn about the new model and ways to improve children’s health in neighbourhoods from Nina Griffiths. \nAttend\, share and exchange good practice\, what’s working well in the voluntary sector on mental health matters and addressing childhood obesity. DESCRIPTION:Safeguarding children and young people is everybody’s responsibility but sometimes\, despite the involvement of many services\, children come to harm. Sharing lessons from Child Safeguarding Reviews provides an opportunity reflect\, review and revise your internal systems.\n\nThemes of recent reviews have included:  unexplained physical injuries and missing or absent children Chronic Neglect\, disability\, historic sexual abuse by foster carers\, domestic abuse\, responding to adolescent criminality. \nVoluntary and community organisations are invited to attend this special session on Thursday 5th July 1.30 to 3.30pm at Hackney CVS. \nThis session is important for staff working with adults and children: Safeguarding leads\, frontline staff  and line managers.
