Peer support programme for long-term health conditions

Hackney CVS is running the Peer Support Grants programme, funded by, and in partnership with City & Hackney CCG.

Peer Support Grants

The Peer Support grants programme aims to:

  • support residents with long term conditions manage their health;
  • assess if community led and culturally specific approaches to supporting residents to manage their health conditions have good outcomes;
  • support small and black and ethnic minority led organisations develop a body of evidence for the work they do.

Peer support creative workshops

Studio Upstairs

Peer support programme for Hackney residents experiencing mental or emotional health difficulties. This is an opportunity to make art in a safe, open and creative studio environment, to meet new people and improve own health and wellbeing through art.

Peer to Peer Support Group

It’s time to break the stigma about mental health.
A free programme to talk in confidence, make new friends, learn positive stress management, mindfulness and healthy eating.

Step Up Wellbeing Workshops

A programme designed to help you build your knowledge, understanding and confidence of how to take care of yourself and manage your health and wellbeing better.

Creative Lifestyle

A programme for BAME women. Come and learn how to use mindfulness and other creative weekly relaxation techniques. Create and share some craft items with like-minded people.

Spring back. Use drama skills to build resilience. Understand how we manage difficult situations.
