20 year anniversary

Adiaha Antigha community achievement awards 2017

Hackney CVS is pleased to open the nominations for the Adiaha Antigha community achievement awards, our yearly awards to celebrate the work and impact of Hackney’s voluntary and community sector.

The awards are held in memory of Adiaha Antigha, the Founder and former Director of Hackney CVS, who made a huge contribution to the organisation’s success and to the sector as a whole.

The 2017 nomination categories are for:

  • the organisation or individual that has challenged inequalities;
  • the organisation or individual that has supported young black and minority ethnic men;
  • the organisation or individual that has the most imaginative approach to outreach/most effective outreach event.

Voting to decide which nominees will win this year’s awards is now open and runs until 18th October at 5pm. Cast your votes here!

The Adiaha Antigha awards will all be presented along with the Gary Francis awards on the 26th of October 2017 at our special 20th year anniversary event at The Ace Hotel.

With thanks to State Street, sponsors of the community achievement awards for the organisation or individual that has supported young black and minority ethnic men and the organisation or individual that has the most imaginative approach to outreach/most effective outreach event.

"I just wanted to say a big thank you for our award. We are over the moon as it means so much to us to receive an award that is set up and run by a Hackney organisation and voted for by Hackney residents and friends"

2016 award winner Anne-Marie Hawkins, Hackney Independent Forum for
