Grants of up to £4000 available to run peer support groups for people with long term health conditions

Hackney CVS is pleased to announce that it is running another round of the Peer Support Grants programme, funded by, and in partnership with City & Hackney CCG.

The Peer Support grants programme aims to:

  • support residents with long term conditions manage their health;
  • assess if community led and culturally specific approaches to supporting residents to manage their health conditions have good outcomes;
  • support small and black and ethnic minority led organisations develop a body of evidence for the work they do.

We are particularly interested in applications from small black and ethnic minority led organisations, especially those working with Hackney’s African Caribbean heritage residents, and residents with mild to moderate mental health conditions. All successful grant applicants will be required to complete training on monitoring and on motivational interviewing.
