Celebrating two years of delivery at T Fest
To celebrate two and a half years of delivery Talent Match London organised T Fest, Talent Match London’s first festival on Friday 26 August 2016 at the East London Rugby Club.
T Fest aimed to inspire a new generation of Talent Matchers to get involved in the growing movement to tackle youth unemployment in the capital. With live music performances, fun activities and panel discussions, T Fest was the perfect space for young people across the partnership to get together to share experiences, meet employers and find out more about the Talent Match London movement.
T Fest was an innovative take on the classic careers fair model. The festival was attended by over 180 Talent Match London participants and over 40 employers. Attendees were treated to live music performances from Paigey Cakey and D.J Matchstick, as well as amazing performances from talented Talent Match London participants.
Talent Match London has now engaged over 1,000 young people in the capital and produced positive outcomes for over 80% of their participants. They celebrated the amazing work that their partners have been doing. T Fest gave the delivery staff the opportunity to celebrate together and build closer bonds.
Deji Adeoshun, Youth Programmes Officer for Hackney CVS said: 'T-Fest was fantastic, through the sports, games, workshops, live music and the fun 90’s theme, employers and young people got past the stereotypes and the generational gap and networked brilliantly. Talent Match London have impacted our young people in a very positive way. Many of our Talent Scouts in Hackney have gone on to do things they could never have imagined doing when they first walked through the doors of Hackney CVS. I'm extremely proud to be part of this movement and long may it continue'.
