Real Opportunities is for:

- people aged 16+

- with a learning disability

- who have autism including Asperger’s

- who want to volunteer or work.

With our partners Peter Bedford Housing Association and Volunteering Matters we aim to support adults with learning disabilities and/or autism so they can achieve greater independence and learn new skills that enhance employment prospects.

Pre-Employment Programme Support Coordinator, Andrea Enisuoh said: ‘This is an exciting new project and one that Hackney greatly needs. We really want people with learning disabilities and autism to come forward to find our what is on offer. This may be a volunteering opportunity, workshops to boost soft skills, help with Maths and English or simply opportunities to make friends and socialise. Meanwhile, if you are a local community organisation or business and could offer work placements for Real Opportunities, we would love to hear from you.'
